Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 22 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months., • Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 10 months within the past 3 years., • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months., • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission)., • This role will require floating to multiple units, • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local., • 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research. Additional Details: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Required Skills/Experience Patient Age group: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Colon Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy Special Procedures/Unit Details: 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. Cares for patients that have true med surg issues. Skills Required: Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Starting and maintaining IVs, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Additional Skills, see special equipment, Screen missing requirements Preferred Skills/Experience Oncology experience preferred but not required Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of chemotherapy, Tracheostomy care/management Special Requests RTO required with submission, must be built into contract Shift & Scheduling Weekends - variable based on unit needs If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for nights or a mix of shifts based on department priorities. Shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period. Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor Floating Requirements Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 14 days maximum time off.
