Job Description Overview Five Star Painting is seeking a driven, organized, and customer-focused Project Manager to oversee residential and light commercial painting projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for ensuring projects run smoothly, crews are supported, and homeowners receive a high-quality, white-glove experience throughout the process. What We Offer: • Compensation – $40,000 - $70,000 salary based on experience, • Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, • This is a field-based role, and while most work occurs during standard business hours, projects may occasionally require availability outside of these hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, to support job completion and customer needs., • Company vehicle, • Project & Job Oversight:, • Manage projects from start through completion, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met, • Crew Coordination & Capacity Planning:, • Source, vet, and maintain relationships with reliable painting crews, • Work with admin to ensure crews are properly onboarded and scheduled, • Plan crew coverage based on upcoming workload and project volume, • Serve as a point of contact for Sherwin-Williams and support crew access to materials, • Customer Communication & Experience:, • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during active projects, • Communicate clearly, promptly, and professionally via phone, text, and email, • Quality Control & Documentation:, • Ensure proper preparation, materials, colors, and repairs are completed according to expectations, • Document projects with before-and-after photos using company tools, • Address issues proactively to maintain quality standards, • Networking, Upsells & Referrals, • Identify opportunities for additional services or scope changes, • Coordinate change orders and approvals with homeowners and admin, • Ask for introductions, referrals, and reviews when appropriate, • Network within the community and build a referral partner network to continuously drive sales opportunities, • Project Completion & Close-Out, • Be present as projects near completion to ensure a smooth finish, • Conduct final walkthroughs, confirm satisfaction, and coordinate touch-ups if needed, • Collect final payment and request reviews, • Vehicle & Vendor Oversight, • Leadership & Accountability: Confidently leads crews and holds projects to Five Star Painting standards. Takes full ownership of outcomes, deadlines, and customer satisfaction., • Project & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously while maintaining quality, budget, and timeline expectations., • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and proactive communication with homeowners, crews, vendors, and internal team members via phone, text, and email., • Quality & Detail Orientation: Strong eye for detail with the ability to identify potential issues early and ensure proper preparation, materials, and finishes are completed to standard., • Problem-Solving Mindset: Calm under pressure and solution-oriented when navigating jobsite challenges, scope changes, or customer concerns., • Relationship Building: Skilled at building trust with homeowners, maintaining strong crew relationships, and developing referral and vendor partnerships within the community., • Sales Awareness & Initiative: Ability to recognize upsell opportunities, coordinate change orders, and confidently ask for reviews and referrals., • Organizational & Documentation Skills: Keeps accurate project records, before-and-after photos, and change order documentation organized and up to date., • Self-Motivated & Field-Ready: Thrives in a field-based environment, manages time independently, and maintains professionalism while representing the brand in client homes.
