The ideal candidate will lead a slurry crew, ensure the quality and safety of slurry applications, manage materials and equipment, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership role requiring strong knowledge of slurry materials, equipment operations, crew management, and OSHA-compliant safety practices. The Slurry Superintendent will work closely with project managers and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee Slurry Seal Operations: Supervise and coordinate slurry seal operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and client expectations., • Crew Management: Oversee daily duties of the slurry crew, including training, mentoring, scheduling, and performance management., • Ordering Materials: Manage procurement and timely delivery of materials required for project execution., • Creating Work Schedules: Develop and adjust schedules to align with project timelines and crew availability., • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources, track progress, and meet deadlines., • Quality Control: Ensure slurry mix quality, correct application methods, and final project outcomes meet industry standards., • Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce OSHA safety procedures. YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management. WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager., • Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc., • Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact. This will include the assessment of the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to complete a project successfully., • Responsible for preparing a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form., • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the guidelines of corporate policies., • Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Negotiate all change orders on the project., • Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget., • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision., • Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating all change quotations to a conclusion., • Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager., • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client., • Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission., • Represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager., • The duties and responsibilities describe this position's general nature and scope of work. Job Description The Project Manager will bid the projects through the award stage, pre-construction, project construction, administrative duties, site visits, and project completion and close out processes.
