Assistant Store Manager – The Glass Monkey The Glass Monkey is more than just a Head Shop & Unique Botique, it’s a creative hub where art, music, and community collide. We showcase hand-blown glass, local art, jewelry, and unique finds, while also hosting live art, chess battles, and one-of-a-kind events. We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who can help keep this unique space running smoothly while bringing positive energy and leadership to the team. What You’ll Do: Daily Operations: Assist with opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Team Support: Help train, coach, and support staff, stepping into a leadership role when the Store Manager is away. Customer Experience: Create a welcoming environment, connect with customers, and share knowledge about glass, art, and our wide range of products. Events & Creativity: Support live art events, chess nights, and other community activities that make The Glass Monkey more than a store. Inventory & Merchandising: Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory while keeping displays fresh, inspiring, and well-organized. Problem-Solving: Handle unexpected challenges with creativity, professionalism, and a solutions-first mindset. What We’re Looking For: Previous retail or customer service experience (management experience is a plus, but not required). Strong communication and leadership skills. Reliable, responsible, and comfortable taking initiative. Excited about art, creativity, and being part of a community-focused shop.
