The Opportunity 🔍 As an Account Manager, you will spend most of your time serving and strengthening relationships with existing importer customers. Your main focus will be on deepening customer engagement, creating an exceptional service experience, and ensuring customers continue to grow with us. The ideal candidate brings a strong freight-forwarding background and a proven ability to strengthen relationships with existing accounts. . In this role, you will: • Own and help grow a portfolio of existing importer accounts, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and ongoing relationship development, • Ensure forecast volume is actualized, quotes are accepted, and feedback is shared with our supply team, • Consistently monitor and report on operational and revenue metrics, • Serve as a trusted advisor, educating customers on supply-chain best practices and Shippabo’s end-to-end solutions, • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to anticipate customer needs and strengthen account strategy, • Strategically communicate with customers on industry updates, rate trends, and how market events relate to their business, • Own and manage new inbound importer marketing leads, • Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery from onboarding through steady-state, • Participate in sales team initiatives and contribute to refining our overall sales approach Must-Haves 🏆 • Extensive account management experience in global freight forwarding across ocean, air, inland transportation, customs brokerage, and warehousing, • Proven track record of managing, growing, and retaining existing customer relationships, • Expertise in international freight, especially trans-Pacific tradelanes, • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to importer customers, • Self-motivated and effective in a remote, distributed team environment, • Reside in the U.S. or Canada, • Willingness to travel for conferences, trade shows, and team meetings Benefits for our Shipmates 🧘 At Shippabo, our benefits are a reflection of our core values and our commitment to making healthy living affordable and accessible to everyone on board. Compensation 💰 Shippabo is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices..The base compensation for this role is between $75,000-$85,000. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate’s experience. With bonus, Year 1 OTE is expected to be between $100,000-$110,000. Actual compensation is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, location, and market demands.
