Job Title: Tech Lead Location: Minneapolis, MN Hybrid Employment: 3 days on site (Monday – Wednesday) Employment Type: Long Term Contract + Potential for Conversion PROJECT OVERVIEW This project originates from the firm’s Fixed Income Sales organization on the debt side of the business. Today, the team relies on a highly manual, Excel‑based workflow to capture, update, and analyze deal and market data—an approach that consumes significant time, introduces data‑quality risk, and limits the team’s ability to leverage intelligent automation or AI‑driven insights. The goal is to replace these manual steps with a modern, scalable full‑stack application featuring a clean, intuitive React (TypeScript) UX, automated data ingestion, and seamless integration with Databricks and internal data platforms. The solution will also embed LLM‑powered capabilities to streamline data entry, surface insights, and support multi‑agent workflows—dramatically enhancing productivity and enabling smarter, faster decision‑making across the sales process. As the Tech Lead, this individual will guide architectural decisions, set engineering standards, delegate work effectively, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality features through a coordinated team execution model. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as the technical lead for the end‑to‑end platform, providing architecture direction, breaking down work, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery., • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and reinforce best practices across front‑end, back‑end, and cloud engineering disciplines., • Translate business needs into technical requirements and align the team around goals, priorities, and delivery milestones., • Develop production‑grade React (TypeScript) front‑end applications that power AI‑enabled workflows, financial insights, and data automation for the Fixed Income Sales team., • Build backend microservices using Node.js and Python (FastAPI) to support data ingestion, transformation, retrieval, and integration with Databricks and other internal systems., • Implement secure, well‑versioned REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and scalable service patterns., • Integrate front‑ and back‑end components with API gateways, authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, MSAL, Entra ID), and other platform services., • Build real‑time user experiences using WebSockets or SignalR for streaming, live financial data, and collaborative features., • Incorporate LLM‑based application capabilities, including streaming responses, structured outputs, document ingestion pipelines, and multi‑agent workflows., • Deploy and operate services across containerized or cloud‑native environments using CI/CD automation., • Implement observability (logging, tracing, alerting) across services., • Partner with platform and security teams to ensure proper IAM, secrets management, and secure deployment configurations using least‑privilege principles. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 8+ years of full‑stack engineering experience, with proven success as a Tech Lead guiding teams, owning architecture decisions, and driving delivery across complex systems., • Deep expertise in React (TypeScript) and backend development in Python or Node.js., • Hands‑on experience building production features leveraging LLM‑driven workflows and intelligent automation., • Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript, React hooks, context, and modern state‑management patterns., • Proficiency designing and documenting REST APIs, including OpenAPI specifications and versioning strategies., • Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud or containerized environments (App Services, API gateways, Kubernetes, etc.)., • Skilled with Docker, containerization, and cloud‑native workloads., • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi)., • Experience integrating OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication into web applications. NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS • Broader experience in GCP technologies (Cloud Run, LLM services, BigQuery, IAM)., • Additional LLM integration expertise: structured outputs, function calling, tool use, streaming pipelines., • Experience with real‑time communication technologies like WebSockets, Server‑Sent Events, or SignalR., • Familiarity with Databricks or enterprise data platform APIs., • Background in financial services, investment banking, or capital markets., • Relevant cloud certifications., • Experience integrating with third‑party systems (DealCloud, S&P Capital IQ, Box, Microsoft Graph API)., • Experience building internal design systems or shared UI component libraries.
