Job Description Job Title: Construction Cleaner Job Description This role supports a large construction site by managing badge scanning at the entrance, assisting with general site cleanup, and performing basic data entry to issue access badges. You help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area while working closely with the field team on a variety of general labor tasks throughout the duration of the project. Responsibilities • Monitor the site entrance and scan badges as workers enter and leave the construction site to ensure proper access control., • Perform data entry on a computer system to create and print badges as needed for site personnel and visitors., • Support the field team with general cleanup duties, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing materials to keep the site clean and safe., • Carry out general labor tasks such as demolition support, loading and unloading materials, digging, and other physical activities as directed., • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient construction site by following established safety rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards., • Use various power tools and small machinery when required, in accordance with safety guidelines and training., • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform tasks correctly and safely., • Solve practical problems on site by interpreting written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions., • Work outdoors for extended periods, including standing for long durations in varying weather conditions., • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, and steel or composite toe footwear., • Coordinate with team members and supervisors to cover all required site hours, including weekdays and Saturdays with overtime as needed., • Arrive on time and use reliable transportation to get to and from the job site consistently. Essential Skills • Experience performing general labor or construction work, including tasks such as demolition, loading and unloading, digging, and site cleanup., • Ability to stand outdoors for extended periods while monitoring entrances and performing physical tasks., • Competence in scanning badges and managing basic access control processes at a construction site entrance., • Basic computer skills and data entry experience to create and print badges accurately., • Familiarity with construction field concepts, practices, and procedures., • Ability to safely use various power tools and small machinery as part of construction activities., • Strong understanding of and commitment to working safely on projects, including adherence to OSHA standards., • Language skills to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals., • Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form., • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team., • Ability to pass a criminal check, drug screen, physical capacity profile, and employment eligibility verification., • Reliable transportation to commute to and from the job site. Additional Skills & Qualifications • OSHA 10 certification is highly beneficial for understanding construction site safety requirements., • First Aid training or certification is an asset for responding to minor on-site incidents., • Experience working outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions., • Previous experience on large-scale construction projects is a plus., • Comfort working overtime hours when needed to support project schedules., • Strong attention to detail when handling badge scanning and data entry tasks. Work Environment You work primarily outdoors on an active construction site, exposed to heat and other weather elements while standing for extended periods. The schedule covers Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with substantial overtime available. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with ongoing demolition, material handling, and general cleanup activities. You use standard construction personal protective equipment at all times, including a hard hat (type II not required), gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, and steel or composite toe footwear, to maintain safety in a busy field setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Glendale, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
