Job DescriptionSalary: $17-$19 per hour Primary Responsibilities • Warmly greets clients,familiesandvisitors to Family Ark Behavioral Health Center andensuresa welcoming and supportive environment., • Responds to incoming phone callsusing a traumainformed and patient-centered approach., • Assistclients with checkin, registration, and completion of required paperwork.Enter new client information into the EMR, assigned therapistlist,and internal BHC census sheet., • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies., • Schedule, confirm, and update client appointments for clinicians and providers., • Communicate scheduling changes, provider availability, and cancellations promptly., • Collect and verify insurance information;assistwith insurance updates as needed., • Accept copayments or fees and followappropriate financialhandling procedures., • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, email correspondence, and faxes., • Support data entry, recordkeeping, and electronic health record (EMR) tasks., • Ensures the operational readiness,appearance,and presentation of the office and otherclientareas., • Performsoffice activitiessuchasfiling,recordsmaintenance, preparing correspondence,maintainingthe necessary officesupplies, faxingrecordsand mail distribution according to agency policies and procedures., • Assistwith center events, meetings, or administrativeprojects asassigned., • Helpmaintainoffice supplies, inventory, and equipment., • Responsible for collectingand processingintake documentsduringtheclient registrationprocess.Enternew clientinformationinto themedicalsystem, therapist list and internal BHC census sheet., • Routinely, on the 2ndand 16thof the month, checks Medicaid eligibility for FABHC clients., • Collects patient vital signs and medical recommendations from physicians and the psychiatric nurse practitioner as needed., • Conducts building and safety checksroutinelyand when maintenance or repairs areindicated,ensures action is takenutilizingthe maintenance request form., • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including tasks that support andassistwith agency-wide goals and activities. MinimumRequirements • High School Diploma orGEDrequired., • Oneyearsexperience asa receptionistor similar position., • Experience in behavioral health preferred., • Experience with Medicaid billinga plus., • Exhibits regular and punctual attendance., • Computer and word processing skills., • Must be able to work independentlyand meet strict deadlines., • Superior organizationalandproblem-solvingskills., • Strong communicationand negotiation skills., • Must be able to work with a diverse population., • Mustdemonstratea commitment to qualityperformanceand service excellence as each relatesto the agencys comprehensive quality assurance plan and continuous quality improvementobjectives.
