Job DescriptionTerminal Manager Burlington, NJ Compensation: $75,000 $95,000 annually (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Burlington, NJ About the Role We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Terminal Manager to lead and oversee all operations at our Burlington, NJ terminal. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and operational problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. What Youll Do Leadership & Team Management • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of drivers and terminal staff to ensure alignment with company goals and values., • Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-first work environment., • Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for terminal employees., • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support., • Promote professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence in every interaction. Operational Management • Oversee daily driver scheduling, truck assignments, and warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries., • Partner with cross-docking teams and routing managers to streamline daily operations and maximize route efficiency., • Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times., • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with the Fleet and Equipment Manager to minimize downtime., • Collaborate with other terminals to ensure consistent customer service and coverage during emergencies. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations across all operations., • Proactively identify and address safety or operational risks., • Lead monthly driver safety meetings to promote awareness and continuous improvement., • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, maintenance, and compliance. What You Bring • 5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution management., • Proven ability to manage teams in a high-volume, safety-sensitive environment., • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA compliance standards., • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (routing/scheduling systems preferred)., • CDL license preferred but not required., • A proactive, dependable, and people-first leadership style.
