About the Role The Material Coordinator supports operations by ensuring the accurate flow of materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production process. This position works closely with procurement, warehouse, project management and production teams to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing schedules by ensuring all materials are on site and kitted. Responsibilities • Ensure materials are on site and kitted by warehouse according to daily build schedules to be requested by production., • Monitor production material usage and communicate shortages or overages to procurement., • Understand Bill of Materials on drawings and ERP to ensure material can be tracked down in the facility., • Work with the purchasing team to track open purchase orders, expedite materials, and resolve delivery issues., • Assist with root-cause investigations for inventory discrepancies., • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and 5S/lean manufacturing standards. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred., • 2–5 years of experience in material coordination, production support, or inventory control within a manufacturing setting., • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)., • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), production orders, and manufacturing workflows., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Effective communication skills to support collaboration across production, planning, procurement, and warehouse teams., • Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)., • Forklift certification or ability to become certified is a plus.
