Job Description The Warehouse Laborer (Welding) , Operations Management, is responsible for the die management for the forging processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Balance Safety, Quality, Production, Cost and Morale to achieve positive results across departments., • Continuously learn, share and implement corrections or changes to encourage organizational improvements., • Use the 5S Pillars, Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu), and Sustain (Shitsuke) to maintain a clean and organized workspace to sustain a productive work environment., • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments (e.g., Sales, Quality, Production) to achieve shared goals and ensure smooth project execution., • Receiving new and repaired forge dies including scanning dies and visual inspections., • Maintain new forge dies, making die heaters and installation as needed., • Oversee new forge die trials, • Assist with forge die maintenance including removal of lubricant, sticking aluminum, prepare forge die engraving, molybdemun coating on forge dies., • Oversee both in-house and outsourced repairs when repairs are needed for dies, • Maintain and complete necessary repairs if possible, in-house., • Prepare dies for shipping, • Trim Die Management, • Receiving new and repaired dies as received and confirm dimensions, • Maintain trim dies including new repairs, • Oversee the maintenance of new trim dies including assembling trim dies, • Complete die trails and adjust clearance as needed, • Oversee both in-house and outsourced repairs when repairs are needed, • Utilize MIG, TIG and Laser welding techniques to join metal components together, ensuring strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing welds., • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting as necessary to ensure optimal weld quality., • Identify and troubleshoot welding issues, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and quality., • Inspect completed welds for defects, adherence to specifications, and overall quality standards., • Operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines., • Set up machine tools with appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices. Minimum Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities: • 1-2 years of experience in die maintenance, preferred., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Certification or degree in mechanical engineering or related field, preferred Physical Requirements/Work Environment Requirements: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle and feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must be able to speak and hear and must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds., • Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to auto focus., • The team member will often enter the non-climate controlled plant or warehouse where temperatures can be extremely hot or cold depending on the weather.
