OPPORTUNITY: Based in Chicago or Oak Brook, IL, the Operations Analyst role combines analytical rigor, operational execution, and client communication, requiring strong attention to detail, comfort with complex data, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Operations Analyst also partners cross-functionally to support onboarding, reporting, and operational initiatives as the firm continues to scale. RESPONSIBILITIES: Billing Review, Oversight & Exception Management • Responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and governing billing outputs produced by GeoWealth’s billing systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to billing methodologies for the following:, • Firm-level advisory billing, • Platform and technology fees, • Third-party money manager billing, • Review, validate, and reconcile billing output data to ensure accuracy and completeness, • Review and evaluate billing calculations and outputs for accuracy, consistency, and methodology alignment, • Assess billing exceptions and determine appropriate resolution approaches, including system adjustments or escalation, • Monitor billing outputs across cycles to identify trends, risks, or control gaps, • Performance reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across the platform, • Investigate and resolve performance discrepancies through detailed data analysis, • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across performance calculations and outputs, • Perform quality control checks and reconciliations to ensure data integrity, • Utilize Excel and billing systems to analyze large data sets and identify anomalies, • Provide subject matter expertise to advisors and internal teams on billing matters., • Assist broader Operations and back-office teams with initiatives such as:, • Client and advisor onboarding, • Reporting and data validation projects, • Process improvements and system enhancements, • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to support billing-related projects, • Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, • Contribute to the development and refinement of billing procedures and controls, • Evaluate existing billing workflows and identify control gaps or inefficiencies, • Contribute to the design and refinement of billing procedures, controls, and documentation, • Partner with Finance, Compliance, and Technology to improve billing scalability and automation, • Design, build, and maintain Excel-based macros and automated tools to support billing calculations, validation, reconciliation, and reporting, • Independently identify opportunities to automate manual billing processes and reduce operational risk, • Evaluate existing macros and tools for accuracy, scalability, and control effectiveness, • Document macro logic, assumptions, and controls to support operational continuity and audit readiness SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: • Recent Graduates and up to 3+ years of experience in billing, operations, or financial services operations, • Experience using enterprise billing or performance systems at a software company, fintech, TAMP, or RIA preferred but not required, • Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to produce highly accurate work is critical to success in this role, • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines, • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, macro creation), • Familiarity with investment products including ETFs, equities, and mutual funds, • Experience supporting advisory billing and fee calculations, • Prior experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment COMPANY CULTURE & PERKS – HIGHLIGHTS: Investing in Your Growth 🌱 • Casual work environment with fun, hard-working, and open-minded coworkers, • Competitive salary with opportunity for performance-based annual bonus, • Opportunities to up-skill, explore new responsibilities, and network across departments, • Flexible PTO and work schedule to ensure our team balances work and life, • Hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days working from home, • Medical, Dental, and Vision, Disability insurance, • Free access to Spring Health, a comprehensive mental health solution, • 401(k) with company match and a broad selection of investments, • Voluntary insurance: short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, • Free on-site gym and nearby parking, • Weekly catered lunches in the office, plus happy hours, • Stocked kitchen with snacks and drinks, • GeoWealth was recognized as “Best Place to Work” by Purpose Job’s 2025, 2024 and 2022, • GeoWealth was recognized as “Best Place to Work” by Built In in 2024, 2023 and 2022 SALARY RANGE: Starting at $68,000- $75,000 + Benefits This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
