Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Perform a variety of tasks to maintain all sections of furnace melting systems. Work from written and oral instructions with assistance to perform teardown, rebuild and maintenance of crucible, and heating coils. Tear down and evaluate for necessary repairs or replacement of parts. Use arc welder or gas torch to make repairs such as brazing coils and welding support members. Repair or replace cracked or damaged refractory. Reassemble, making sure coil assembly is isolated from crucible with sufficient ram filler. Assist in rolling, assembly, and necessary adjustments on coil units, where condition of units is such that simple problems may be solved to make the set-up and complete the unit. From time to time perform other duties not associated with melting systems that are required to maintain overall shop appearance and work flow, i.e., mopping floors, operate forklift, and headroom duties. May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one's skills. Adhere to ACE guidelines and perform ACE duties as required. Adhere to all EH & S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. The salary range for this role is $21.00/hr. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
