Senior Commercial Officer – Technology Sector 📍 Edinburgh (Hybrid – minimum 3 days on-site) 💰 £45,000 – £52,000 (DOE) 🕒 Full-time | Permanent We’re partnering with an innovative, globally recognised software organisation at the forefront of uncrewed maritime technology to find a talented Senior Commercial Officer to join their growing Edinburgh team. The Role As a Senior Commercial Officer, you’ll support the full lifecycle of commercial operations, working closely with internal teams across engineering, finance, and operations. You’ll contribute to the drafting, negotiation, and management of a variety of contracts, supporting bids and ensuring strong commercial governance. Key Responsibilities • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of customer and supplier contracts., • Provide commercial guidance across bids, proposals, and project delivery., • Manage contractual obligations, change control, and risk mitigation., • Support the development and implementation of commercial strategies., • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders., • Ensure compliance with commercial processes, governance, and best practice. About You You’re commercially minded, confident in managing contracts, and comfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll bring: • A degree, professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience., • Solid understanding of contract law and business finance fundamentals., • Strong negotiation and communication skills., • The ability to identify and manage commercial risks effectively., • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach., • Previous experience in the defence or technology sectors is desirable but not essential.
