Experienced Automotive Sales Manager – Renault, Dacia & Alpine Location: John Banks Group – Cambridge Full-Time | Permanent Competitive Salary + Performance Bonus + Group Benefits John Banks Group, one of East Anglia’s leading independent, family-run automotive dealer groups, is seeking an experienced and high-performing Automotive Sales Manager to lead our Renault, Dacia & Alpine division in Cambridge. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance, stock turn, compliance, digital visibility and customer experience standards across one of our busiest multi-brand sites. We are looking for a dynamic automotive professional with a proven track record in leading teams, delivering results and maintaining consistently high standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead all new and used vehicle operations for Renault, Dacia & Alpine, • Achieve sales, finance, accessories, GAP and value-added product targets, • Maintain stock under 90 days and improve stock turn performance, • Ensure accurate pricing, merchandising and timely used vehicle preparation, • Deliver exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints, • Coach, motivate and manage a high-performing sales team, • Conduct daily sales briefings, weekly one-to-ones and monthly reviews, • Ensure full compliance with FCA, GDPR, ITC and audit requirements, • Drive strong CRM and enquiry management processes using Pinnacle DMS, • Support digital visibility through consistent social media and content creation, • Minimum 5 years’ automotive management experience, • Strong leadership, communication and coaching capability, • High levels of professionalism, discipline and accountability, • Excellent CRM skills and process-driven mentality, • Strong financial awareness and ability to manage budgets, • Confidence with digital platforms, social media and modern retailing, • Experience within FCA-regulated environments, • Passion for delivering first-class customer experience, • Competitive basic salary circa £50,000 (negotiable), • Strong bonus structure with OTE £80,000+, • Annual consistency bonus linked to quarterly performance, • A respected, long-established family-owned Group with over 50 years of success, • Full training through John Banks Group, ITC and manufacturer programmes, • Genuine career progression opportunities You will be joining at a pivotal time, helping shape the future of the Renault, Dacia & Alpine brands in Cambridge.
