The Role Are you a "jack-of-all-trades" who takes pride in making a house a home? We are a growing property management company looking for a reliable, in-house Maintenance Handyperson to join our team. You will be the face of our company for our tenants, responsible for keeping our residential portfolios in Coventry, Nottingham, and Doncaster in top-tier condition. From fixing a leaky tap to freshening up a room with a new coat of paint, your work ensures our properties remain safe, functional, and high-quality. Key Responsibilities • General Repairs: Handling day-to-day maintenance including basic plumbing (leaks, taps, toilets), carpentry (door hanging, locks, furniture assembly), and minor electrical tasks (bulb changes, faceplates)., • Painting & Decorating: Refreshing properties between tenancies and performing patch repairs., • Property Inspections: Identifying potential issues before they become costly repairs., • External Maintenance: Basic gutter cleaning, gate repairs, and garden tidy-ups., • Travel: Moving between our sites in Coventry, Nottingham, and Doncaster (company vehicle/mileage options available).What We Offer, • Competitive Base: £25k – £30k per annum., • Commission Structure: Earn extra on top of your salary for completed jobs, out-of-hours callouts, or efficiency bonuses., • Variety: No two days are the same; you’ll manage a diverse range of residential properties., • Growth: Annual salary reviews based on performance and skill development.Requirements, • Proven Experience: Strong background in general building maintenance or DIY., • Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for travel between cities., • Problem Solver: Ability to work independently and find cost-effective solutions., • Customer-Facing: Friendly, professional, and respectful when entering tenants' homes., • Tools: Must have your own basic toolkit (specialist equipment provided).

Main Job Responsibilities: • Inspecting components, assemblies, and finished products against the highest standards., • Using precision tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.) to verify quality., • Recording and reporting findings, and supporting corrective actions., • Partnering with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement., • Ensuring compliance with quality systems (ISO etc). Job Skills & Qualifications: Required • Experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing., • Confident reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T., • Skilled with inspection tools and measurement techniques., • Detail-driven, problem-solving mindset, and team player. Desirable • Background in automotive or aerospace industries., • Knowledge of lean / Six Sigma practices., • Quality-related certifications. Personal Attributes: • Highly organised with strong attention to detail., • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines., • Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
