How you’ll spend your day As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of complex backend systems, working closely with a small, experienced team. You’ll be: • Developing and maintaining applications using C# .NET (Core), • Contributing to the design of scalable, high-performance systems handling large volumes of data, • Building backend services and APIs to support web and mobile applications, • Working on a variety of projects, from real-time data processing to reporting and analytics platforms, • Collaborating with team members to scope requirements and deliver effective technical solutions, • Supporting integrations with third-party systems such as CRM and finance platforms, • Participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development practices, • Gaining exposure to modern technologies including cloud platforms, microservices, and containerisation What you’ll bring to this role We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in software development who is eager to grow and take on more responsibility within a supportive environment. You’ll bring: • Commercial experience with C# .NET / .NET Core, • Experience working on complex or data-driven systems, • Knowledge of LINQ and Entity Framework, • Familiarity with Git and tools such as JIRA, • Understanding of software development best practices and system design principles, • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team Nice to have (but not essential): • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), • Experience with APIs, microservices, or distributed systems, • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or modern DevOps practices, • Frontend experience (e.g. Angular), • Experience working with large datasets or NoSQL databases, • Exposure to Claude and AI Most importantly, you’ll have a curious mindset, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to development.
