\nPerks: Staff discounts, exclusive holiday offers and free financial support and education \n\nJob Description\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nProject co-ordination & delivery\n\nAct as a central point of contact for allocated projects, supporting internal teams and customers from order through to delivery/close-out.\nBuild and maintain project trackers (materials, dates, priorities, risks/issues, actions and owners).\nCo-ordinate cross-branch activity to secure stock, manage allocations and meet customer timelines.\nSupport project scheduling (call-offs, phased deliveries, back-order management, returns and credits where required).Order processing & administration\n\nProcess and manage project orders, amendments and call-offs accurately and in line with Rexel procedures.\nCreate/maintain project files and documentation (quotes, order confirmations, delivery notes, proof of deliveries, variations).\nEnsure pricing, margin and approvals are in place before orders are progressed (working with the appropriate manager for authorisation limits).Stock, logistics & site support\n\nLiaise with branch teams, supply chain and transport to plan deliveries and collections, including timed/critical deliveries.\nProactively communicate delays, shortages, substitutions and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.\nHelp optimise stock holding for projects and reduce excess/obsolete stock at project completion.Stakeholder management\n\nWork closely with Sales, Branch Managers, Customer Services, suppliers and project stakeholders to maintain momentum and resolve issues quickly.\nProvide clear project updates (status, risks, delivery plans, outstanding actions) via agreed cadence.Commercial & continuous improvement\n\nSupport the projects team with basic reporting (on-time delivery, order status, backorders, project value).\nIdentify recurring issues and propose improvements to processes, communication and planning across sites.\nMaintain a professional, customer-first approach aligned to Rexel values and standards.Skills, knowledge & experience\n\nEssential\n\nExperience in a co-ordination role (projects, operations, customer service, order management, or logistics).\nStrong administration skills and attention to detail (tracking, documentation, accuracy).\nConfident communicator who can work across multiple teams/sites and manage competing priorities.\nStrong IT skills (Excel/trackers, email, order processing systems).\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel between North West sites.Desirable\n\nExperience in electrical wholesale, construction supply, or trade distribution.\nKnowledge of project call-off processes, phased deliveries, and supplier lead-time management.\nExperience supporting tenders/bids or structured project documentation.\nSplit week across multiple Rexel branches in the North West, with some home/office-based administration time depending on business need.\nOccasional early starts to support critical deliveries/customer requirements.Performance measures\n\nOn-time delivery and call-off performance for assigned projects.\nOrder accuracy / reduction in invoice queries and credits.\nStakeholder satisfaction (customer and internal).\nEffective project tracking and proactive issue resolution.\n\nQualifications\n\nAt Rexel, we prioritise hiring individuals based on behaviours and potential, rather than requiring specific formal qualifications for roles, the behaviours that will set you up for success within an Internal Sales role include:\n\nCOLLABORATION: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives \n\nTAKES ACCOUNTABILITY: Taking action, overcoming obstacles, and meeting commitments \n\nCUSTOMER FOCUS: building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions \n\nWhat we’re looking for… \n\nIdeally you will have experience of working in a highly competitive customer focused role where you are comfortable working towards and exceeding sales targets \n\nCustomer centric and a self-starter, you will enjoy developing the business through face to face and phone-based relationships, becoming the subject matter expert for your customers \n\nA flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure whilst identifying business opportunities \n\nAdditional Information\n\nAt Rexel UK, we’re all about welcoming people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives because we know that diversity drives fresh ideas and great results.\n\nBy coming together as one team, we’re building a high-performance culture that not only drives success but also creates real value for our customers and communities.\n\nCreating an environment where individuality is celebrated and creativity flourishes, we're making sure everyone feels supported and confident to be their best
