This includes but not limited to, people management of the team when allocating daily task, managing performance and development issues, workflow, as well as meticulously always maintaining standards and KPI’s. As the team is small, other duties will be to plan and progress the various contracts through the functional areas to meet or exceed its stated goals of maintaining required margin, on-time delivery. You will be the point of contact for external customers and be expected to proactively communicate the latest delivery forecast. \n \n \n \n PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) \n On an ongoing basis, the Projects Lead must assume full responsibility and will be held accountable for the following: \n\n • Maintain a positive / safe working environment.\n, • Be a Key Member in the Leadership team withing Hillington\n, • Drive positive KPI results, ensuring you hold true to our values including always doing the right thing.\n, • Take a positive approach to coaching, developing and performance managing the team members.\n, • Be the primary focal point for all contracts under direct control.\n, • Identify and implement improvements within the function and role.\n, • Ensure all projects, under direct control, are delivered safely and without incident.\n, • Overall management and control of all assigned projects and related activities, from contract award to delivery.\n, • Drive the team to liaise with supporting functions Commercial, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing and Shipping to drive milestone adherence, i.e., meet the delivery plan.\n, • Functional owner of any aspects of Trade Compliance as part of Hillington team.\n, • Arrange and support key customer visits and witness activities for projects under direct control.\n, • Create and maintain high level plan for specific contracts where required.\n, • Work with functional areas to resolve issues relating to delivery plan adherence. (Escalate where appropriate)\n, • Management of project change via the change/variation order process. Capture deviations from the agreed scope of work and recover any additional costs and identify schedule impacts.\n, • Management of project resources and the delegation of tasks to appropriate personnel.\n, • Highlight bottlenecks / constraints with the Value Stream.\n, • Internal and External project status reporting.\n, • Support in the bid process where appropriate.\n\n \n Note the above duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive.
