Children’s Residential Home Deputy Manager – 3 Bed EBD Salary: £31,072 - £32,900 p.a. Job Type: Permanent, Full Time – up to 40 hours per week Annual Sleep-In Allowance: £2,980 - £4,960 (based 6–10 sleeps per month across 10.5 months) Location: Woolsthorpe Benefits • Competitive salary of up to £32,900 p.a. (£37,860 including maximum sleep-in allowance), • Ofsted Inspection Bonus, • Referral programme, • Wellness incentive, • Company pension scheme, • Additional overtime enhancements, • Company Health Cash Plan (after successful probation period), • Birthday gift voucher, • Progressive pay scale, • 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, • Annual leave entitlement increases with length of service, • Enhanced DBS check paid for by the company, • Dedicated learning and development programmes, including fully funded Level 4 and 5 qualifications, • Free meals whilst on shift, • Regular supervision sessions, • Generous home and activity budgets, enabling staff to participate in activities and special events with young people, • Bespoke smart IT systems to reduce manual report writing Your role will involve: • Providing a nurturing environment where the physical and emotional needs of children and young people are met, acting as a positive role model, • Supporting the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives outlined in the Statement of Purpose, • Helping to develop systems that ensure young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive, • Supporting and managing staff to meet the individual needs of children and young people, • Ensuring each young person is allocated a key worker, • Ensuring staff understand each child’s placement plan and their responsibilities in delivering it, • Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to contribute information and achieve the best outcomes for young people, • Ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and financial records are accurately maintained, • Working on a rota basis, including weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call duties, in line with the needs of the home, • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Registered Manager, • Deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager, • Working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people, • Playing a key role in implementing positive change within the home, • Continuously improving services, systems, and standards alongside the Registered Manager and Senior Leadership Team Experience and Qualifications Required: • Diploma / NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent), • Working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children, Young People and Families, • Knowledge of the Children’s Act and relevant legislation, • Strong supervision and team management skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Understanding of the needs of children with BESD/EBD, including managing challenging behaviour, • Excellent organisational skills, • Ability to motivate and support staff teams, • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with young people in a residential setting, • A full clean manual driving licence held for at least 1 year, • Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Grantham, Lincolnshire prior to starting work (required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
