    Flexible Part-Time Tutoring Roles in South West London Harrison Allen is a small, selective tutoring company seeking exceptional Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Tutors to join our growing team. We provide high-quality one-to-one tuition for students across South West London, including a significant amount of Local Authority-funded daytime work, as well as after-school tutoring opportunities. We are particularly looking for tutors and teachers specialising in: • English, • Maths, • Sciences, • Humanities This is an excellent opportunity for experienced educators looking for flexible part-time hours while making a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress and confidence. The Role • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions, • Support students across Primary and Secondary levels, • Work with Local Authority referrals and private clients, • Daytime and after-school opportunities available, • Flexible working hours to suit your schedule Requirements Applicants must: • Hold a completed degree, • Have teaching and/or tutoring experience, • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and communication skills, • Be professional, reliable, and student-focused Ideally, candidates will also: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), • Have experience supporting a range of learning needs and abilities Safeguarding You will require an Enhanced DBS registered with the Government Update Service. [1, 3] Key Responsibilities & Duties • Childcare and Supervision: Assist with daily routines, including welcoming children, engaging in play-based learning, and supervising indoor and outdoor activities. [2], • Personal Care: Help with feeding, preparing nutritious snacks/meals, changing nappies, and managing toilet training where applicable. [4], • Outings and School Runs: Accompany the childminder on local walks, park visits, and school/nursery pick-ups and drop-offs., • Environment Maintenance: Keep play areas, equipment, and dining spaces clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards. [5], • Documentation and Communication: Assist in recording daily activities, observations, and incident logs (such as minor bumps or accidents) while maintaining strict confidentiality. [4, 5] Essential Requirements & Qualifications • Safeguarding & Welfare: A solid understanding of child protection policies and willingness to undergo required safeguarding training., • DBS Check: An Enhanced DBS check with barred lists, registered on the update service., • First Aid: A valid 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate (mandatory if left in sole charge of children for short periods)., • Personal Attributes: Patience, reliability, physical fitness for active outdoor play, and a warm, positive attitude.
