Registered Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Home North London Full-Time | Senior Leadership Role Salary: Up to £80,000 (depending on experience) We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic children’s home in North London. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who understands that effective residential care requires more than operational management — it requires clear systems, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of young people in care. Our home is built around Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and relational care. RM profile About the Role As Registered Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the home, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, care quality, and team development. Your responsibilities will include: • Leading and developing a stable, high-performing residential team, • Maintaining Ofsted compliance and safeguarding oversight, • Embedding therapeutic and trauma-informed care approaches, • Managing systems, policies, and operational structures that support consistent care, • Supporting staff development, retention, and professional growth About the Service The home is founded on a belief that children in residential care deserve relationships that genuinely change the direction of their lives. The service is built around: • DDP-informed therapeutic residential care, • Integrated therapeutic support led by a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist, • Attachment-focused care designed to replicate healthy family relationships, • A registered school providing flexible and nurturing education, • A commitment to breaking cycles of criminalisation, homelessness, and substance misuse among young people leaving care., • RM profile What We’re Looking For We are seeking a leader who brings both strategic clarity and strong relational leadership. Essential experience includes: • Experience as a Registered Manager (or readiness for registration), • Experience within Ofsted-regulated children’s residential care, • Strong safeguarding leadership experience, • Experience managing or stabilising residential homes, • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards), • Experience leading or preparing homes for Ofsted inspections, • Trauma-informed or therapeutic care experience (e.g. DDP, attachment-based care) We also value candidates who can demonstrate: • Strategic thinking and organisational leadership, • Strong staff development and retention skills, • Calm decision-making under pressure, • A values-led approach to leadership and safeguarding.
