Building Surveyor 37hours per week, based in Preston £47,840.00 per annum What will you be doing in this role? You'll be part of our Asset Management Team, whose overarching purpose is to deliver efficient, value for money repairs and maintenance services. We have around 7000 properties across Preston, Fylde and South Ribble. You'll carry out inspections across Community Gateway's housing stock, with particular focus on damp, mould and condensation. You will assess and advise on technical issues including property defects and potential repairs needed ensuring all works comply with relevant standards, regulatory requirements and agreed timescales to deliver excellent customer service. What we are looking for in you: We are looking for someone with experience in a social housing environment within property surveying or asset management. You'll have experience of completing property surveys, scheduling works and damp, mould and condensation surveys as you will carry out pre and post works inspections in our tenants' homes. The main things: • You'll have a building related degree or equivalent qualification/building related specialism., • You'll have a driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use., • You'll have experience of damp, mould and condensation surveys., • You'll have a good understanding of Awaab's Law and other relevant legislation related to housing maintenance and repair., • You'll have a good understanding of health and safety in construction and social housing.
