Axon Assistant is shaping the future of AI in public safety building an intelligent real-time teammate that supports officers dispatchers and command staff across a complex ecosystem of devices and software. Axon Assistant brings the power of voice interaction real-time translation and AI-driven guidance to the field starting with voice-activated features on body-worn cameras and expanding across mobile and web platforms. It enables public safety professionals to access critical information and support at the moment they need it using the most natural interaction method for the situation whether through speech mobile interfaces or desktop applications. As a Senior Product Designer II youll help shape this evolving experience. Youll design intuitive responsive and trustworthy interactions that span modalities and platforms with a focus on voice mobile and web all grounded in a deep understanding of our users goals and environments. Your work will directly support first responders and help define how AI meaningfully enhances their ability to protect lives. Work Location: This role is based out of our London office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork mentorship and shared success. • Lead end-to-end design across key Axon Assistant experiences including voice interaction (e.g. body-worn cameras) mobile workflows (iOS/Android) and web-based interfaces., • Partner with product engineering and AI/ML teams to create user experiences that are cohesive intuitive and mission-critical., • Define an experience vision for your product area ensuring a seamless user journey across interaction types and devices., • Apply human-centered design to uncover user needs and translate them into clear accessible solutions., • Conduct hands-on research including ride-alongs interviews and usability testing turning insight into design direction., • Prototype and iterate at multiple levels of fidelity from early sketches to interactive flows and developer-ready specs., • Work across multiple product areas while ensuring consistency scalability and clarity in every touchpoint., • Advocate for ethical and responsible AI integration through thoughtful interface design and user feedback loops., • 8 years of product design experience with at least 4 years leading complex digital product initiatives., • Experience designing multi-modal systems especially those involving voice mobile and web-based user experiences., • Expertise in crafting end-to-end experiences from user research and journey mapping to prototyping and delivery., • A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design systems thinking and product impact., • Strong collaboration skills with engineers PMs and researchers you speak the language of delivery as well as design., • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and advocating for design quality and user outcomes throughout., • Background in designing AI/ML-enabled tools or real-time systems (e.g. assistants live communications field operations)., • Experience in public safety emergency response healthcare or other high-stakes environments., • Familiarity with ethical AI practices and inclusive design standards., • Ability to shape both product experience and team-level design process improvements., • Adaptable You tailor your approach to suit the problem platform and user need., • Collaborative You seek feedback early share openly and co-create across disciplines., • Assertive You lead with clarity and advocate for design with conviction and evidence., • Customer-Obsessed You dive deep into user needs behaviors and goals to uncover the right problems to solve., • Outcome-Driven You focus on meaningful impact not just elegant design., • Competitive base salary and RSUs., • Comprehensive pension plan with matching contribution, • Private health insurance & cash plans, • 30 days paid holiday UK public holidays, • Enhanced maternity/paternity leave, • GymPass subscription, • Life assurance & income protection Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they check every box in the job description.
