Tutor – Health & Social Care Location: Rochdale Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £28,000 per annum An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Tutor to design, deliver and assess high-quality training programmes that enable learners to achieve their full potential. The role involves delivering engaging learning across a range of programmes, helping learners develop their skills, gain qualifications and progress into further study or employment. Key Responsibilities • Complete thorough initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are on the correct programme and receiving the right level of support., • Plan, design and develop effective training programmes, including schemes of work, lesson plans and Apprenticeship Learning Plans, with clear differentiation., • Make effective use of digital tools and learning platforms, including webinars and virtual delivery methods, to enhance the learner experience., • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching that motivates learners to attend, progress and achieve., • Ensure learner safety, including supporting emergency evacuation procedures and following all health and safety requirements., • Mark and assess learner work, providing structured feedback and clear development objectives., • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning across study programmes, supporting learners with their qualifications and progression goals., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners., • Strong organisational ability and effective workload management., • Confident using technology to support teaching and learning., • Industry experience in Health & Social Care, • Knowledge of teaching and learning quality standards, including OFSTED expectations., • At least 1–2 years’ teaching experience., • Experience supporting learners with additional needs (LLDD) or challenging behaviour is desirable., • Up-to-date sector knowledge and relevant professional qualifications., • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, Cert Ed, DTLLS).
