Job Title: Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy Salary: £51,587 - £55,661 per annum Band: 42-46 Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex (hybrid office and remote working) Hours: 37 hours per week, permanent (with occasional evenings and weekends for events) Reporting to: Director of Fundraising and Communications About the role HARP is entering a period of structured growth, with a focus on building sustainable, diversified and community-rooted income. The Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy will lead the development and delivery of HARPs relationship-led fundraising streams, including corporate partnerships, community partnerships, major donors and legacy development. This is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for growing unrestricted and sustainable income through meaningful partnerships and supporter relationships. The postholder will build long-term, values-led connections with businesses, community groups and supporters, strengthening HARPs local presence and financial resilience. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications and other Heads of Fundraising, this role will ensure that HARPs public-facing income streams are structured, well-managed and positioned for growth. Key Responsibilities 1.Strategic leadership & income growth • Develop and deliver a multi-year strategy for corporate partnerships, community fundraising, major donors and legacy income., • Establish clear annual targets and growth plans across all portfolio areas., • Build a balanced income mix, increasing sustainable and unrestricted revenue., • Identify and pursue high-value partnership and philanthropy opportunities., • Provide strategic direction and oversight of corporate partnerships activity, with day-to-day delivery led by the Corporate Partnerships Manager, • Provide strategic oversight of community partnerships, supporting the development and growth of relationships with local organisations, schools, faith groups and community networks, delivered by the Community Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator., • Oversee pipeline management and ensure proactive prospecting and relationship development., • Build and steward a small but growing major donor pipeline appropriate to HARPs scale., • Develop and promote HARPs legacy offering, embedding long-term income planning., • Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Partnerships Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator and Community Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator, ensuring clear priorities, performance management and development, • Embed clear KPIs, pipeline reviews and performance management processes., • Develop team capability in relationship management and income conversion., • Work closely with Head of Digital to ensure acquisition and supporter journeys are aligned., • Collaborate with Head of Trusts and Events to maximise cross-stream opportunities., • Work with Communications to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment., • Contribute to income forecasting and budget planning for relevant streams., • Monitor income performance and adjust plans where required., • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and due diligence standards. Essential • Significant experience in corporate partnerships and community fundraising at the management level., • Demonstrable track record of securing and growing relationship-based income., • Experience leading and developing fundraising teams., • Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders and supporters., • Strategic mindset with ability to translate plans into delivery., • Financial literacy and experience managing income targets., • Experience developing major donor or legacy programmes., • Experience working in a medium-sized charity or community-based organisation.
