Specialism: Learning Disabilities & Autism Salary: £40,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist healthcare service in Bradley. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, delivering high-quality therapy within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and benefit from extensive training opportunities and professional development support. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions across the service, • Conduct specialist dysphagia assessments and management plans tailored to individual service users, • Support the Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in maintaining effective service delivery, • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure care aligns with service users management plans, • Provide expert SLT advice and consultation to colleagues involved in service users care, • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with statutory and organisational guidelines, • Promote the wellbeing, dignity, and interests of all service users, • Supervise junior staff members and students as directed by the line manager, • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiativesEssential Requirements, • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist, • Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), • Minimum of two years post-qualification experience, • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and autism, • Strong written communication and clinical documentation skills, • Experience supporting junior staff or studentsBenefits, • Competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays, plus your birthday off, • Option to purchase additional annual leave, • Dedicated career development and professional training opportunities, • Access to the Ely-Vate rewards and benefits platform for savings and wellbeing resources, • Blue Light Card providing access to national discounts, • Life assurance and pension contributions, • Financial wellbeing support including early wage access through Stream, • 24/7 GP service and access to a second medical opinion, • Enhanced maternity package
