Operations Manager Lead & Grow a Thriving Dental Practice Oxford (Cowley) | Mixed NHS & Private | £40,000–£50,000 Full-time | On-site | 5 days per week We’re looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to lead our modern, 11 surgery mixed NHS and private dental practice in Oxford. This isn’t a back-office role, it’s a genuine leadership position with real influence over how the practice runs, how the team performs, and how the business grows. Dental experience? Great. But if you’ve led large teams and driven performance in business, healthcare, hospitality, finance or retail, we want to hear from you too. As we expand, there will be real opportunities to take on wider responsibility across additional sites, making this an excellent role for someone with ambition to grow with us. Why This Role? • £40,000–£50,000 salary, depending on experience, • Clear pathway to senior leadership as our group expands, • Full training and onboarding, no dental background required, • Modern, recently renovated practice with with modern, up-to-date equipment. About the Practice A large, established and busy practice in the heart of Cowley, Oxford, located in a shopping centre with great footfall, nearby parking and excellent transport links. • 11-surgery mixed NHS and private practice, recently fully refurbished, • Services include Implants, Invisalign and Facial Aesthetics, • Fully digital systems including intraoral scanners and digital X-rays, • Strong, loyal patient base with consistent demand The Role You’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the practice while driving performance, efficiency and growth. • Lead, motivate and develop a large multidisciplinary team, • Drive performance through KPIs, targets and clear leadership, • Manage budgets, forecasting and overall financial performance, • Oversee HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, rotas and team development, • Manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness, • Oversee dentist payments, ensuring correct calculations and coordination with finance, • Drive practice growth, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, improve patient flow and expand services, • Plan and oversee marketing initiatives (including digital and local campaigns) to attract new patients and increase treatment uptake, • Ensure full CQC compliance, • Take ownership of escalated patient complaints, resolving issues professionally, • Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and performance You Are: • A confident, hands-on leader who leads from the front, • Experienced managing teams in a fast-paced environment, • Commercially sharp, comfortable with budgets, targets and strategy, • A natural communicator, able to build trust with staff and patients alike, • Calm under pressure and confident handling challenges, • Organised, proactive and focused on continuous improvement Desirable (but not essential): • Experience in dental, healthcare or another regulated environment, • Experience handling complaints or customer escalations, • Involvement in marketing or business development activities What We Offer: • £40,000–£50,000 salary, depending on experience, • A well-established, high-performing practice with strong foundations, • The opportunity to take real ownership and make a visible impact, • Clear career progression as our group continues to expand Apply now — we’d love to hear from you.
