Registered ManagerDY14Full Time£50-55k DOE plus bonusesWe are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our established 2-bed children's residential home in Dudley. Our home is already registered with Ofsted and proud to hold a Good rating — a testament to the dedication of our existing team and the quality of care we provide.As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and development of the young people in our care. You will lead, inspire and develop a skilled staff team, whilst maintaining and building upon our strong Ofsted rating.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong, visible leadership to the staff team, fostering a culture of high standards, respect and continuous improvementEnsure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted quality standards frameworkDevelop, implement and review individual care plans, risk assessments and placement plans for each young personBuild and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, placing authorities and external professionalsManage budgets, rotas, staffing levels and HR matters including supervision, appraisals and performance managementSafeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times, acting as designated safeguarding leadPrepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, maintaining accurate records and evidence of outcomesDrive quality assurance, undertaking regular audits and implementing learning from incidents and complaintsEssential RequirementsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards, with commitment to complete)Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior role within children's residential careFull understanding of the Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant legislationProven track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomesEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)Full UK driving licenceDesirableExperience managing a home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or trauma backgroundsTraining in therapeutic approaches such as PACE, Dyadic Developmental Practice or similarExperience of Ofsted inspections as the Registered ManagerWhat we can offerCompetitive salary, dependent on experience and qualificationsCompany pensions schemeDedicated senior management support36 days annual leave including bank holidaysFunded CPD and trainingEmployee Assistance ProgrammeIf you have the relevant experience and are based in the Stoke on Trent area and would like to learn more, then please contact SaferHandSolutions and ask for Anna Ashley.
