About the Company We are seeking experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitors to join our new litigation team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling financial mis-selling claims, including PCP, investment mis-selling, pension transfer claims, PPI, omnibus claims or other complex financial product disputes. You will manage your own caseload, supervise junior team members, and play an integral role in developing the department. About the Role The role involves managing a varied caseload of complex financial mis-selling claims from pre-action through to resolution, including settlement or trial. The successful candidate will provide clear, strategic legal advice, draft and review key court documents, and liaise effectively with clients, financial institutions, experts, and counsel. They will also negotiate settlements, attend hearings where required, stay up to date with FCA regulations and relevant case law, and play a key role in supervising junior team members while supporting the development and growth of the litigation department. Responsibilities • Manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from pre-action through to settlement or trial., • Review complex financial documentation and provide clear legal advice to clients., • Draft and review letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and other court documents., • Liaise confidently with clients, financial institutions, experts, and counsel., • Conduct legal research and stay updated on FCA regulations and case law developments., • Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings or mediations when required., • Supervise and support junior fee earners and paralegals within the department., • Ensure compliance with internal policies, SRA regulations, and FCA-related standards where applicable. Qualifications • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)., • Strong academic background (LLB or equivalent)., • Additional financial or compliance qualifications are advantageous but not essential. Required Skills • Newly Qualified Solicitor., • Strong understanding of FCA regulations, financial products, and mis-selling principles., • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and deliver high-quality work to deadlines., • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills., • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities., • Exceptional communication and client-care skills., • Proficiency in using case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar).
