If you are interested in working as a Paralegal for a market leader in a clinical field, then read on as we seeking a talented Paralegal to join our in-house legal department, within our prestigious city centre office on St Vincent Street. The role: The role of Paralegal will include the following duties and responsibilities: • Document management – collating and checking documents, with preparation of files;, • Assisting with day to day tasks for the in-house Solicitors;, • Dealing with any ad hoc duties that may arise;, • Drafting letters and reports to the client;, • Research tasks and analysis of documents to provide information to the in-house Solicitors;, • Ensure files are kept up to date, accurate and in accordance with company procedure;, • Assisting with drafting of Court documents;, • Assisting with the preparation of Witness Statements/Precognitions; and, • Assisting with updates to third parties. Essential Skills: • Flexible and willing to work within a busy team environment;, • Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail;, • Good communication skills;, • Confident in working independently, but also work well within a team;, • Highly organised;, • IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel;, • Experience of Scottish Court proceedings essential;, • Experience of English Court proceedings desirable;, • Experience of medical malpractice/personal injury/litigation desirable;, • Preferably have a minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or a Paralegal qualification.
