About The Role We’re looking for a commercially driven and instinctively analytical Senior Merchandiser to help shape the future of our product range and trading strategy. You’ll sit at the heart of the product journey - balancing data with intuition, and creative vision with commercial discipline. From seasonal planning through to in-season trading, you’ll ensure every decision supports growth, profitability, and brand direction. This role is about more than numbers - it’s about connecting product, performance, and people. You’ll work closely with Buying, Design, and Finance to build ranges that feel right for our customer, hit financial targets, and move the brand forward with purpose. With a strong grasp of detail and a clear strategic lens, you’ll help define what success looks like across each category - ensuring every range drop is both commercially sound and creatively exciting. Key Responsibilities Range Planning & Trading Performance • Manage the end-to-end merchandise planning process - from seasonal planning through to in-season trading., • Analyse weekly performance across categories, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities., • Create and maintain clear visual range plans that integrate current performance, committed buys, and future pipeline., • Build frameworks that ensure newness is balanced with continuity and that open-to-buy is always aligned to commercial priorities. Forecasting & Financial Insight • Develop and maintain robust demand and sales forecasts by category, style, and SKU., • Support the business with clear visibility of stock cover, intake, and forward sales projections., • Use data modelling to simulate range and financial scenarios, supporting decision-making around investment and markdown strategies., • Translate trading data into actionable insights that feed directly into weekly commercial reviews and longer-term financial planning. Data Systems & Reporting • Collaborate with wider team to evolve automated dashboards and visual reporting (Excel, Power BI or equivalent) to track key merchandising KPIs., • Support in maintaining consistent frameworks to report on category mix, sell-through, and range efficiency metrics., • Partner with Finance and Buying to ensure all reporting aligns with business budgeting and margin expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Buying and Design to ensure new range proposals are commercially validated through data and trend analysis., • Partner with Operations to maintain a healthy balance of stock, ensuring alignment between demand planning and warehouse capacity., • Collaborate with Marketing to align campaign focus and product priorities with stock and availability insights. About You • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into meaningful commercial action., • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is highly advantageous., • Excellent understanding of WSSI management, OTB control, and stock efficiency principles., • Proven experience managing multiple categories and planning across overlapping seasons., • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to forecasting, reporting, and visual presentation., • Strong communicator who can influence decision-making across teams through clear, data-led storytelling., • Experience within a multi-channel retail or fashion environment preferred.
