Role Purpose: People are at the heart of our business, and the People Advisor plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment where colleagues can thrive, which in turn, supports the overall success of the UK&I business. The People Advisor in the HRSSC acts as first line support to internal customers and provides expert advice and guidance on all our people policies, procedures and best practice across the UK&I business. The role helps manage risk at the earliest opportunity and supports with best practice across all colleague matters in line with the agreed terms and conditions of employments and Hays policies and procedures. Key Result Areas HR Advice ⢠Delivery of HR advice providing proactive and pragmatic guidance and support, accessible at any time during the hours of service. Cases escalated as appropriate., ⢠Identifying measures for alternative dispute resolution (i.e. mediation) at the earliest possibility to prevent an escalation of workplace conflict., ⢠Recording all ER cases and provide a full audit trail of all activity to manage risk and to prompt proactive management of cases. Providing access to case notes as required, ⢠Providing support to the âin houseâ legal team with any tribunal case management and requests for personal information under data protection legislation., ⢠Provide advice to the business on applications for VISA and ensure a log of applications is kept., ⢠Liaising with the Chief Information Security Officer on any data security issues and advising on any action to be taken in accordance with the relevant procedure or legislation., ⢠Policy Development, ⢠Assist with the development of policies, procedures to meet legal and business requirements., ⢠Assist with the development of the intranet to provide managers with easy access to HR policies, FAQs and guidelines., ⢠HR Insights and reporting, ⢠Support the creation of HR reports when required to assist with proactive HR insights and analysis. This includes data on employee relations issues., ⢠Identify trends to assist with the development of interventions to upskill Manager capability, ⢠Research on best practice and external benchmarks through on-the-job learning and personal CPD.
