Based in Reading, they design, install, and maintain high-quality solar PV, battery storage, and smart energy systems for homes across the South of England. The role: As a Residential Solar Sales Consultant, you'll sell solar and battery storage systems to homeowners and own the customer relationship end to end. When an enquiry comes in, the project becomes yours. You'll assess the property, scope the right system, brief the in-house designer, present the proposal, and manage every follow-up through to signature. You'll run your own pipeline and own your numbers. You'll get the tools, training, and support to do that well — and the trust to get on with it. What you'll do: • Engage homeowners by phone, email, and video to understand their needs, then generate and qualify leads., • Recommend solar and battery storage solutions matched to the customer's property, energy usage, and budget., • Present a clear, transparent pricing model and build trust through honest advice., • Educate customers on the full offering — solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV chargers, and heat pumps, plus custom design, installation support, permitting, and financing options., • Visit customer properties to assess installation feasibility and capture survey information (once trained)., • Brief the in-house designer on customer requirements and site conditions, then present the finished proposal back to the customer., • Manage your own sales pipeline, follow up on leads within agreed timeframes, and keep accurate records in the CRM., • Hand signed projects over cleanly to the projects and installation team., • Represent the business at local events, trade shows, and networking opportunities., • Hit monthly sales targets and earn commission on every deal you close. What you'll bring: • 1–2 years' experience selling residential solar systems (or closely related renewable / high-value B2C sales)., • Experience conducting on-site sales surveys and meeting customers face to face., • Strong on technical detail — confident explaining system sizing, ROI, and energy savings in plain English., • A clear communicator, written and verbal, who's comfortable handling objections and closing., • Organised, self-motivated, and detail-focused, with real ownership of your performance., • A genuine interest in sustainability and clean energy, and the drive to learn fast in a growing business. Nice to have: • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)., • Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall 3 or Sigenergy SigenStor systems (a bonus, not a requirement)., • Additional language skills. Essential requirements: • Full UK driving licence, or a firm commitment to obtain one before the start date., • Right to work in the UK. Location & hours: • Office-based at the Reading site, 5 days per week., • Occasional home working by agreement when the role allows.
