Your role will be based at a service that understands the impacts that drugs/alcohol can have, they are compassionate and help with a range of areas not just drug & alcohol. As a Recovery Worker you will be working within a brand new service that has recently opened. The service have a firm belief harm reduction is not about enabling drug use, it is pragmatic, non-judgmental and empowering. They offer a number of services including naxolone, overdose prevention centres, opioid substitutes, group sessions, 1-2-1’s & much more. The services main aim is to help service users across the region who are suffering with substance misuse issues. The role available is varied so you will be working with families as a whole, taking a holistic view to the recovery strategy offered to those coming to the service. You will be training to deliver MPACT and will be supported to deliver a range of group and 1-2-1 support. As a Key worker within this role you will be working with a caseload of up to 50 clients who are mainly suffering with alcohol issues, however there will be a handful who may also be suffering with both alcohol & drug problems.
