In 2023, THIS topped The Grocer and Alantras annual Fast 50 list, a ranking of the countrys fastest-growing food and drink companies on two-year sales growth. We have big ambitions and aim to continue this growth trajectory to be the number 1 plant-based brand in the UK. Bring it on! Why are we doing THIS? Andy and Pete our co-founders in their last job they sold tonnes (literally tonnes) of meat. Then they felt bad. Also, they felt like meat-alternatives weren't really for people who love the taste of meat. So, they basically ended up making THIS for themselves, but theyd reallllly love other meat-lovers to give it a go too. But what its really about at THIS is our vision to have a world where animals arent food and the environment is protected. Our mission statement to guide us in getting there is: We will lead a revolution with our ridiculously delicious and nutritious plant-based food. Whats with this role? What youll be doing (and smashing): youll be the guardian of our product range, from that first spark of an idea to the moment it hits the shelves (and beyond). Youll make sure were creating products that matter to our consumers, not just filling gaps on a spreadsheet. Youll run our monthly portfolio performance review and help steer the annual brand planning process with the Marketing Director. Together, youll make sure THIS products are flying high at every stage of their lifecycle. From spotting the next big thing in plant-based to making sure our existing range keeps wowing meat eaters and vegans alike: youre on it. Youll also be a key part of our innovation process, working hand in hand with Product Development to make sure what we launch is ridiculously tasty, totally consumer-led, and strategically bang on. Oh, and youll work with the Marketing team to launch products that get people talking, buying, and shouting about THIS. This role reports directly into the Innovation Director so that Product Development and Product Marketing work side by side. You'll work closely with the Marketing Director to ensure Product and Brand are joined at the hip. What will you be getting up to? • Product proposition: Define what makes each product a must have, not a meh. Nail the consumer story, USP, and point of difference and keep everyone true to the brief., • Product briefs & foodie flair: Lead the writing of briefs that make mouths water and make sense; including consumer rationale, usage occasion, features, benefits, all that good stuff. Food is culture, and youll bring serious foodie passion and creative spark to everything you touch., • Brand planning: Partner with the Marketing Director to make sure our brand lives and breathes through every innovation, renovation, and portfolio decision. Take time to find white space and fill it brilliantly., • Consumer insight: Be the voice of our consumer. Always. Use data, trends, and real-world insights (Circana, Kantar, Mintel, Reddit, TikTok, whatever it takes) to guide smart, strategic choices. Working closely with our category insights guru., • Stage and Gate: Be the marketing lead for the S&G process. Youll work cross functionally with teams across the business to make sure each project delivers, anything from NPD to EPD., • Portfolio strategy: Team up with the rest of the business to ensure we have a consumer-focused portfolio that drives growth and relevance. Assess SKU performance, optimise the range, and understand innovation and renovation gaps to keep the portfolio strong and competitive, • Packaging & claims: From pack design to punchy claims, you will make sure everything screams THIS. Youll own the words, validate the claims, and make sure our packs look as good as they taste., • Product to market: Work with Marketing to plan and deliver launches that make noise (the good kind). Keep tabs on performance post-launch and pivot fast if needed., • Continuous improvement: Because good isnt good enough. Use feedback, data, and new tech to make our products even better and if we say new and improved, we mean it., • Line management: Support and grow our Junior Product Marketing Manager, helping them drive product projects and become a confident voice of the consumer across the business. What are we looking for? • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred)., • 3+ years of experience in product management or related role., • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management., • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills., • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment., • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
