Job Description Junior Staff Accountant - Direct Hire - Detroit, MI The ideal candidate will be a recent Graduate with an Accounting Degree and 1-2 years of experience in the field. Summary: • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:, • Ensure accuracy in financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards that guide our business strategies., • Utilize your analytical skills to examine financial data, identify patterns, and generate meaningful reports sectors belonging to the diverse portfolio of the company., • Contribute monthly to the close of the financials on a wide array of companies in different industry and creating effective strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals by fostering effective communication, • Embrace the latest accounting software and technologies, continuously expanding your skills and adapting to industry advancements., • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions., • Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules., • Utilize your analytical skills to examine financial data, identify patterns, and generate meaningful reports that guide our business strategies financial position for other managers.profit, and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company, • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheets, to settlement., • Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior., • Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits., • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures., • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports., • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures., • Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation., • Prepare information for tax preparers as required. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals., • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization., • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Math Ability: • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form., • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software and Internet software.
