Ensuring that the goals of the unit are met and maintained to provide for better room utilization., • Maintains environment and supply inventory, including assuring the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment and expertise, and the timely delivery of needed care, and alerting administration of these needs in a timely manner., • Prepares the patient for the procedure and handles the preparation for the operating room including educating the patient after the surgery takes place and participates in patient handoff during times of transition., • Is engaged in helping to ensure that OR metrics, process improvement, work processes, providing solutions and actions plans to reach departmental metrics and goals.
