Job Description A global manufacturer is seeking a strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead all supply chain functions across three U.S. manufacturing sites, with significant expansion planned through 2026. This high-visibility role is responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain alignment, elevating operational performance, and building a scalable infrastructure to support aggressive growth and acquisitions. The ideal candidate brings deep automotive sector experience, particularly in plastics, injection molding, or related component manufacturing, and combines hands-on operational expertise with strategic foresight. You will be instrumental in building and developing the supply chain team, strengthening supplier partnerships, integrating new business units, and standardizing processes across all locations to position the organization for long-term success. Responsibilities • Oversee all supply chain functions across three U.S. manufacturing sites: procurement, materials planning, logistics, inventory management, supplier performance, and materials flow, • Build and scale a high-performing supply chain organization to support anticipated growth, acquisitions, and new production lines launching in 2026, • Drive alignment and operational discipline by establishing consistent supply chain systems, KPIs, and processes across all sites, • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for resins, plastics, tooling, injection molding components, and automotive-grade materials, • Strengthen supplier performance management through data-driven scorecards, relationship-building, and negotiation strategies that deliver cost, quality, and delivery improvements, • Develop and manage a robust supplier base capable of scaling with business growth, • Develop and mature S&OP processes to improve forecast accuracy, capacity planning, production readiness, and demand-supply alignment, • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support new program launches and meet customer demand, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce lead times, optimize inventory turns, and enhance on-time delivery performance, • Play a key role in M&A due diligence and integration, assessing supply chain capabilities and ensuring seamless transitions, • Standardize and harmonize supply chain processes across newly acquired or expanded facilities, • Build the infrastructure and team capacity needed to support both organic growth and inorganic expansion, • Oversee domestic and international logistics operations, including import/export compliance, freight optimization, carrier management, and supply chain risk mitigation, • Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP) and customer-specific supply chain requirements, • Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies (ERP, planning tools, automation) to enhance visibility, reporting, and decision-making, • Champion digital transformation initiatives that improve end-to-end supply chain responsiveness, • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, advising on long-term supply chain strategy, capital planning, and organizational design, • Build, mentor, and develop a world-class supply chain team aligned with the company's growth trajectory Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field, • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in the automotive industry or Tier 1/Tier 2 manufacturing environment, • Direct experience with plastic injection molding, tooling suppliers, resin sourcing, and automotive component manufacturing, • Proven track record leading multi-site supply chain operations with measurable improvements in cost, quality, and delivery (OTIF, inventory turns, PPV), • Experience supporting M&A integration, greenfield/brownfield expansions, or rapid capacity scaling, • Strong expertise in S&OP, production planning, supplier development, and logistics optimization, • Willingness to travel 25–50% domestically and internationally, • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certification, • Experience with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP) This is not a "steady-state" supply chain role, it's a builder opportunity.
