Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils. Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality. Updating signage and displays to attract customers. Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter. Working as part of a fun, high-energy team. Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls. Barista Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred. Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation. Exceptional listening and communication skills. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods. Your role as barista is to make coffee with a manual machine , also to take care of customers. Must have some type of experience in the coffee industry.

About Common Hours… Common Hours is our second location where our first shop is in SOHO, Manhattan with the different name. Common Hours is located on 35 W 35th Street in Manhattan and we expect open by beginning of beginning of August. We will need many hands from training baristas to coffee professionals. Looking for two Barista’s in Greenpoint Brooklyn for a 7/15 start date. Must have Food handlers license (if you don’t have, you can get it in about 3 days by taking the online course).
