Job Description Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CPA / Tax Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage expertise in accounting, tax law, and financial analysis within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing complex tax filings, supporting estate planning matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities * Prepare individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations * Assist with estate planning activities, including preparation of wills, trusts, and related legal documentation * Support probate and estate administration proceedings, including judicial and non-judicial accountings and court filings * Facilitate the transfer of assets from individuals or decedents to estates or trusts, including preparation of deeds and related filings * Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards * Assist with audits, including reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and internal control assessments aligned with SOX requirements * Manage bookkeeping functions, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, and double-entry accounting * Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements * Provide research, document analysis, and draft pleadings related to trust and estate administration * Organize and maintain legal and financial documentation in an efficient, retrievable system * Collaborate with legal teams on tax compliance, including matters related to LIHTC projects, securities law, private equity, and asset management * Support mergers & acquisitions activities through financial reporting and due diligence efforts * Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal teams; respond to inquiries and provide updates as needed * Track and record billable time accurately * Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business needs Qualifications & Experience * Minimum of 8 years of experience in estate planning, tax, or accounting within a law firm, trust department, or public accounting environment * CPA designation preferred; LLM in Taxation is a plus but not required * Strong knowledge of estate, fiduciary, and gift tax, as well as trust and estate administration * Experience with probate processes and estate accountings * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with accounting and tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) * Solid understanding of GAAP and familiarity with SOX compliance standards * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy * High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality Benefits * 401(k) * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Health savings account (HSA) * Flexible spending account (FSA) * Life insurance * Paid time off and sick leave Location: In-OfficeCompany DescriptionW3Global was established in 2006 in Fremont, CA with a vision: simplify the recruiting process and develop an industry-disrupting platform to connect candidates with clients.
