Job Description Piazza Produce offers a wide array of produce, locally sourced goods, specialty items, and more. Piazza Produce delivers to over 150 surrounding cities including Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Michigan. This allows us a large distribution network in which we are able to back haul and deliver products from producers who need help distributing their products. Essential Functions: • Perform sanitation duties for the warehouse and office spaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and vacuuming, • Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials properly, • Check and notify management of pest issues, • Notify any safety hazards or maintenance issues to Management, • Complete and maintain required cleaning logs and records accurately and promptly, • Perform work in accordance with established SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), • Regularly inspect outdoor areas and remove weeds from flower beds, walkways, parking lots, snow removal, and other landscaped areas to maintain a clean and tidy appearance, • Collect and remove trash debris from assigned areas, including workspaces, break rooms, parking lots, and outdoor grounds, • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, • Support routine maintenance on building systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, dock doors, painting, and racking, • Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, hazards, or potential failures, • Maintain accurate work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records, • Assist with facility upkeep including snow removal, landscaping, and exterior maintenance, • Ensure compliance with OSHA, SQF, GMP, and company safety standards, • High school diploma or GED, • 1 – 2 years of experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles within industrial, manufacturing, or food processing settings, • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Basic PLC knowledge is preferred, • Familiar with Food Safety procedures, • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, • Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus, • Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems, • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills; Hands-on, • Strong analytical skills; problem solver, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Organized and attention-to-detail approach, • Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving organizational goals, • Excellent time management skills, • Ability to manage multiple work orders and prioritize tasks effectively, • Monday – Saturday (off on Sundays and one day during the week), • Stand or sit for long periods of time, • Travel as needed and required, • Occasionally lift up to 50lbs, • Health & Welfare Benefits (medical, dental, vision, and life insurance), • Paid Time Off, • Paid Holidays, • 401(k) with Company Match, • Weekly Pay
