Job DescriptionSalary: Our Company:North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is a non-profit youth soccer organization home to more than 16,000 players (ages 2.5-19) and their families each year. Through full-service programming, NCFC Youth offers youth soccer for all levels of play from Recreation and outreach programs up to the highest levels of elite competition. In addition, NCFC Youth hosts tournaments, camps, and other events to ensure the best player development opportunities. NCFC Youths on and off field operations are supported by more than 1,700 personnel including full-time staff, seasonal coaches, and volunteer coaches. In collaboration with the professional North Carolina Football Club, home to NC Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), NCFC Youth is the largest youth-to-professional club in the country and offers a pipeline of player development including U-23s, amateur & academy contracts, and professional contracts in addition to coaching development opportunities. The Position: Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of the marketing & development team, which houses marketing, advertising, public relations, sponsorships, club partnerships, special events, creative, and fundraisers. This role is also a collaboration and marketing support hub for all NCFC Youth programs including Recreation, Challenge, Juniors, Classic, ECNL, Camps, Outreach, Tournaments, and others to help drive registrations, customer satisfaction and connection, and storytelling. For this particular marketing coordinator role, the ideal candidate will create compelling narratives and content featuring players, teams, referees, sponsors, coaches, community impact, tournaments, and more through various mediums including social media, newsletters, website, scripts, interviews, media/press materials, digital campaigns and the like with the ultimate goal of brand elevation and brand connection to attract new players/teams to the club and to retain various stakeholders. While content creation, management, and storytelling will be a large part of this role, this person will also support other marketing and promotional needs within the department and club. Essential Functions: • While under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this person will take initiative and be able to also work independently and as a team player across departments / programs (e.g., recreation, tournaments, classic, etc.) to support each programs goals and the clubs strategic goals., • This person will be the voice and manager of NCFC Youths official social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.) responsible for managing all aspects of social media management from coordinating relevant posts, analysis and optimization, content creation in various formats (e.g., photography, videos), etc. in an effort to grow engagement, create connection to the club, and support player growth/retention during key registration periods., • Stay ahead of content trends, viral formats and best practices in social and digital media storytelling, • Actively engage with the NCFC Youth community (players, families, sponsors, coaches, etc.) to create fresh content featuring players, teams, coaches, etc. for publication across internal and external digital and social channels, respond / engage with comments and/or messages., • With support from the marketing manager as needed and interns, set a schedule for being present at fields for training, games, and tournaments for content capture, real-time content sharing, etc., • Be a visionary for storytelling and content capture through player testimonials, coach or program spotlights, team journeys, sponsor support, & more to show the feeling and essence of being a part of NCFC Youth, • Ability to storyboard and write scripts / prompts for larger content projects, while also write more concisely for website stories, e-newsletters, etc., • Manage NCFC Youths weekly E-Newsletter (currently use constant contact) platform, content, and delivery of relevant and important information for current players and families, fulfill sponsor obligations, etc., • Utilize Constant Contact, PlayMetrics, or other platforms for direct email communication as needed to support sponsored content, youth-pro opportunities, player registration information, camps, and other internal marketing/communication needs, • Create and own the content calendar across various channels that aligns with overall club goals and supports programs in their individual goals, • Capture, analyze, and catalog content performance and audience engagement for internal use (optimizing campaigns) and external use (for sponsorship fulfillment reports for example), • Support execution and initiatives with external agencies including Marketing PR Agency, NCFC and NC Courage pro team collaboration, sponsorships, etc., • Support all departmental club events (e.g., Shield Award, Coach of Season, College Commitment night) and fundraisers through essential functions of job (e.g., content capture, creation and delivery) as well as other event support where need, • Lead content capture (photography, video) and creation, live coverage, etc. at tournaments, events, activations, and other club functions with the support of the marketing manager and interns as available, • Learn and support website updates, under the direction and delegation of Marketing Manager, • Maintain content library (currently housed in SmugMug) in an organized way for programs, marketing needs, sponsor portfolios, etc., • Assist in graphic design projects as needed for print campaigns, social media, website, and other programs, • Supports other departments and operations within NCFC Youth as needed., • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications/Competencies: • Bachelors degree or higher Required, • Preferred education: degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing/Management, Communications, or similar field, • Strong attention to detail and project management., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Full-time; salaried position., • Typical in office hours are 9am 5pm, but this role during the seasons (fall and spring) has expectations for on-field coordinated coverage on weekends (8+ weekends per season), tournament weekends, and training nights as organized and scheduled with manager. In Office and On-Field expectations/time may change during the year based on the time of season., • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
