The successful candidate will report to Manufacturing Engineering as part of the Project Engineering (PE) at the Raytheon facility in Louisville. PE functions include manufacturing support of current production projects in Louisville. This role will involve interacting with Program and Leadership Teams to ensure successful integration of new business as well as support of existing efforts. This position is for 1st shift; however, some projects may require the candidate to work extended shifts, including weekend and holiday coverage as necessary throughout the year. This position requires direct support of manufacturing activities and spending nearly 100% of daily time in the factory areas. What You Will Do \n • Technical Data Package (TDP) Management\n, • Integrate with Design Team early to drive producibility and affordability, Design for Manufacturability (DFMA) and peer review representative for operations\n, • Engage Supplier Partners Early to Drive Producibility and Affordability, Critical Supplier Parts List (CSPL) and Quality Notes Oversight\n, • Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) Owner for the product, Configuration development, Common As-Built System (CABS) oversight, Material Master creation and maintenance\n, • Operations Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) representative, operations coordinator for Engineering Change Activity\n, • Assures proper incorporation of engineering changes into production documentation (work instructions, test instructions, packaging instructions, MBOM, etc.) across the extended value stream\n, • Requirements comprehension and flow down: Contract to Processes\n, • Technical exception management: Parts Holds, Material Lien Authorization (MLA), Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RDW), Pre-release, build/ship at risk, inter-factory coordination to prevent escapes and mitigate impacts to production\n, • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the build and test flow across the extended value stream. Production Engineer/Program Manufacturing Engineer/Production Test Engineer/Resident Engineering Authority (PE/PME/PTE/REA) hardware owners are the SMEs on the build and test flow for the factory\n, • Factory and Supplier Readiness Processes\n, • Manufacturing Plan /Production Readiness e-Process (PReP) Owner\n, • New Product Introduction (NPI) Health Assessment, Execute Roadmap to Gate 10\n, • Gate Review and assessment support\n, • Coordinate with factory ME/PTE/REA to develop/update work/test instructions\n, • Manage factory and program constraints and issues\n, • Understands the program schedule and executes requirements aligned to that schedule\n, • Coordinate Manufacturing Test Engineer (MTE) and Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) System Business Process Expert (BPE) initiatives within the program Overhaul /Depot Best Practices\n, • Provide proposal support/BOEs, MBOM approval\n\n Qualifications You Must Have Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Experience reviewing and improving technical drawing. Experience communicating technical information to different audiences. Experience with technical writing. Experience with MRP systems. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
