Job DescriptionSalary: Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations Packaging Machinery/Assembly Machinery/Industrial Machinery Filamatic designs and builds complex industrial filling and integrated packaging systems serving the pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic, cosmetic and cannabis markets. We operate under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and seek a commercially adept and results oriented individual who will collaborate with the Executive team, and conduct cross-functional planning with Sales, Engineering, and Finance. The Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations has endtoend accountability for the manufacturing and supply chain value streamspanning supplier strategy and material planning through fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery of complex industrial machinery. This role is responsible for the integrated performance of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and supporting operational functions to ensure predictable delivery, working capital efficiency, and scalable growth. Reporting to the President and serving as a core member of the senior leadership team. The Director has full accountability for delivery performance, supplier reliability, lead time, inventory turns, gross margin, and working capital, while developing future leaders across manufacturing and supply chain. This position will also be responsible for implementing and managing a companywide Quality program built on Lean Manufacturing principles. The purpose of the role is not simply to prioritize, execute and manage output, but to build a stable, capable operating system that consistently delivers customer value while developing people at every level. Results are expected to be achieved through strong processes, disciplined daily management, and respect for people, not through heroics or firefighting. This includes designing and sustaining planning systems that tightly connect demand, supply availability, and manufacturing execution. The successful candidate will have a fiscally conservative perspective, with a constant eye on cashflow, and a proven track record of enabling the growth of bookings and profits and reducing costs. Responsibilities • Lead and manage an integrated manufacturing and supply chain organization, including sourcing, material planning, machine fabrication, assembly, testing, and deliveryensuring flow across engineering, suppliers, and operations., • Implementation and management of Lean Enterprise Program across the enterprise, including daily management, standard work, flow, pull systems, and visual controls, while adapting these principles to a mixed-mode, engineered-to-order and build to design environment., • Development of Filamatic leaders and teams through mentorship, evaluations, 1 on 1s, formal training, and coaching to ensure succession plans are in place for key roles., • Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that ensures material availability, capacity alignment, cost control, and risk mitigation. Build longterm supplier partnerships emphasizing early supplier involvement, capacity planning, and shared problemsolving., • Facilities management and Environmental Health and Safety are integral responsibilities. Safety, quality, and environmental stewardship are expected to be built into daily work through standard processes and leadership rather than managed as separate programs., • Make recommendations on capital expenditure, and for improvements to increase capacity and quality., • The Director actively contributes to enterprise strategy through the collaborative planning process, ensuring alignment between long-term objectives and daily execution., • Enterprise responsibility with Blue Collar DNA that is not afraid to roll their sleeves up, eliminate roadblocks with a Get Stuff Done mentality, never losing sight of the results that need to be achieved., • Own the integration of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), material planning, and manufacturing execution through the ERP system to enable datadriven decisions, predictable delivery, and efficient use of working capital. Qualifications • Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing or operational leadership or equivalent experience., • Proven success owning endtoend manufacturing and supply chain operations at a small to medium manufacturer of complex industrial or capital machinery, with accountability for delivery, inventory, and supplier performance., • Demonstrated experience with Build-to-Order and Mass Customization manufacturing environments., • Lean Six Sigma experience and/or experience implementing Hoshin Kanri on a company wide basis is desired., • Strong experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and aligning demand, material availability, capacity, and production schedules in engineeredtoorder environments., • Experience utilizing all relevant ERP modules to maximize productivity and efficiency for the department and company., • PMP certification and experience using Microsoft Project highly desirable., • APICS (CPIM or CSCP) certification highly valued, particularly in complex, lowvolume / highmix manufacturing environments., • Knowledge of and experience with Lean Enterprise Systems (Danaher or similar) preferred., • Experience applying AI tools to improve manufacturing, quality, or operational efficiency., • Deep familiarity with ISO quality systems and compliance frameworks., • Proven ability to ship complex industrial machinery on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations., • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaborative management skills with a customer-first mindset. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $120,000 $150,000 per year Benefits: 3 weeks of annual vacation, 10 paid holidays, 401(k) with company contribution, parental leave, and comprehensive health (3 plan options), dental, and vision coverage. Eligibility for insurance and 401(k) begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
