Job Description Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Always follow and help enforce safe practice and rules., • Works from the ground to keep work area clear of debris using handsaws, pole saws and pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment to cut brush and trees., • Define staging areas., • Setting up and breaking down material, tools, and equipment as required., • Prepare and feed brush into woodchipper., • Loading and unloading trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, • Operating various trucks and equipment as assigned., • Perform basic maintenance service on trucks and equipment; keep trucks and other assigned equipment in neat and orderly fashion; report the need for major repairs to truck and equipment., • Tying knots, rope breaks, and speed lines according to industry standard., • Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area., • Flag traffic to protect employees and the public from potential harm or injury. Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred., • Valid Driver’s license required. CDL preferred. Work authorization requirements: Must meet I-9 requirements.
