Who We Are Looking For As a full-cycle Account Manager, you are the engine of Clutch's growth. This dynamic role gives you full ownership of the entire client journey, blending new business acquisition with strategic management of a dedicated client portfolio. You will drive this acquisition by managing a robust pipeline of inbound Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), guiding high-intent potential customers to a successful close while also strategically prospecting for new opportunities. Once clients are on board, you will act as their primary strategic consultant. Your core mission is to drive expansion revenue through upsell and cross-sell opportunities that align with their goals. Equally important, you will be on the front lines of retention, skillfully identifying at-risk accounts and executing effective "save" strategies to demonstrate value and solidify the partnership. By consistently demonstrating the value of our platform, you will build lasting partnerships and foster client advocacy. Responsibilities • Drive Net Monthly Recurring Revenue (Net MRR) growth. This is the primary measure of success in this role, representing the culmination of your efforts across new sales, expansion, cross-sales, and retention., • Own the full sales cycle, from identifying client needs and demonstrating value to negotiating and closing agreements., • Confidently manage at-risk situations and cancellation requests. You'll be responsible for diagnosing the core issue, executing a save strategy, and turning challenging conversations into retained, successful clients., • Act as a trusted advisor and product expert, gaining a deep understanding of your clients' business goals to proactively recommend impactful solutions., • Serve as the voice of the customer internally. You will partner with Product, Marketing, and other teams to channel client feedback and help improve the overall customer experience., • Maintain a clear and accurate forecast by meticulously managing your pipeline and all client activities in our CRM (Hubspot). Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in a closing role (e.g., Account Executive, Account Manager) with a demonstrated track record of exceeding quota., • Proven experience in client retention and de-escalation. You are confident handling objections and have successfully managed difficult conversations to save at-risk accounts., • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. You can lead a client call with confidence, clearly articulate value, and manage discussions around pricing and contracts., • A results-oriented mindset. You have a strong internal drive to hit and exceed targets and are motivated by your impact on key metrics like Net MRR., • Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Washington, DC office. Salary at Clutch is determined based on factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, and market. For this position, the total annualized on-target earnings (OTE) range between $120,000-$130,000. The OTE includes a base salary range between $70,000 and $80,000 and a $50,000 variable incentive target.
