This position requires a deadline driven and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for underwriting borrower consent requests, , loan covenant review and monitoring, financial statement and rent roll analysis, watchlist/surveillance, reserve disbursement requests, new loan audits, , calculating/coordinating loan payoffs, and satisfying investor requirements. Focus will be on commercial mortgage risk management and customer service. This seasoned individual should be disciplined and driven to enhance business processes, while providing expertise in underwriting consent requests and the overall management of lender portfolio(s). Ongoing training within the industry, as well as mentoring and training to Asset Management Analyst, will be required. Additional responsibilities may be added to adapt to company growth. *This position offers a flexible work environment and is available for an immediate start. Specific Responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of increasingly complex Freddie Mac loans while strengthening relationships with key lenders and support senior team members with key tasks on more complex commercial real estate loans. Specific responsibilities include:, • Work with a diverse range of Freddie Mac lenders, companies, private clients, and investment lenders, providing a personalized, client-centric experience tailored to each lender's specific guidelines and requirements., • Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, other servicing staff and regional offices., • Serve on procedure committees updating policies and procedures for Portfolio Management., • Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure loan terms and covenants were accurately captured in the servicing system., • Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned within the department., • Review and make recommendations for releases from reserves including replacement, repair, TI/LC, and insurance loss., • Analyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with the requirements of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Companies and other investors., • Calculate and coordinate loan payoff requests, including yield maintenance calculations., • Coordinate with legal counsel and borrowers to document and close transactions (same as Associate AM? Or different) upon final lender approval., • Monitor and update monthly loan reports utilized by investors and management to analyze portfolio risk., • Process insurance loss requests, manage proceeds, and monitor the restoration of the property., • Follow up with borrowers to resolve any deferred maintenance or other issues identified during the annual inspection., • Follow up with borrowers and management companies regarding variances and general income and expense questions., • Underwrite and formulate recommendations for lender consent of borrower requests, including lease approvals, maturity extensions, partial releases/substitutions of collateral, easements, condemnations, ownership transfers etc., • Responsible for oversight of assigned lender portfolios, including maintaining effective business relationships, monitoring team tasks, quality control, lender feedback, and providing internal approval of write-ups/recommendations., • Assist Manager(s) with monitoring team tasks, reviewing write-ups, quality control, and feedback., • Provide training and mentoring across team on areas of expertise including analysis underwriting and general CRE knowledge., • Perform financial covenant testing calculations including NOI, DSCR, debt yield, etc., • Minimal business travel for lender visits, industry/company conferences, etc. (1-3 times per year)., • Collaborate with Portfolio Management leadership to provide recommendations and execute on department goals/objectives., • Assist team members on advanced and/or complicated consent requests., • Conduct physical property inspections as needed., • Participate in presentations and classroom style training for staff based on areas of expertise., • Monitor maturing loans and provide the required notices to borrowers., • Responsible for monitoring and following up with Borrowers on loan covenants across the portfolio to ensure compliance with Lender's standards., • Strategically manage workload to uphold portfolio standards and align with departmental objectivesEducation and Work Experience, • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in real estate, finance, or accounting. Master's Degree is desirable, but not required., • Work Experience: 10+ years commercial real estate and/or loan underwriting experience., • Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include (optional):, • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, • Strong knowledge of commercial loan terminology, • Demonstrated underwriting and/or lender asset management experience on multifamily & commercial properties, • Solid analytical and negotiating skills, • Solid understanding of commercial real estate finance and capital markets, • Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include (optional):, • Demonstrated leadership and training abilities, • Proven underwriting, modeling, and analytical skills., • Excellent oral and written communication skills, • Customer service oriented, • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines, • Ability to work both independently and within a team, with minimal supervision, • Demonstrated work ethic and willingness to work extended hours when necessary, • Attention to detail and accuracy required, • Problem solving skills to reflect level of responsibilities, • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information Minnesota Residents: Northmarq carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Senior Asset Manager position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 annually. This range is a good faith estimate and the actual compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. #LI-ES1 #LI-Onsite
