Job Description Hauler Part-Time: Weekend Position Saturday/Sunday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE • Arrive on time with Good Attitude and ready to work to your assigned work location., • Follow schedule and complete work orders as set by the Supervisor., • Cleanup, remove, and haul to the transfer station trash, illegal dumping and debris as directed by the Supervisor. Items may include furniture, tires, appliances, pallets, landscaping material, and/or other items. • Load and unload cargo in a safe manner., • Graffiti removal as approved by the Supervisor., • Complete work orders in a timely fashion., • Maintain clean and safe workspaces., • Perform other duties, as assigned by the Supervisor., • Work as a Day Porter when directed by the Supervisor., • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures., • Haul items that are scheduled by 3rd party clients that need disposal, such as sofa’s, tires, refrigerator’s, pallets, and or other household and commercial items that will be disposed of at the dump by the Driver/Hauler. • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and ensure that vehicle is in a safe working condition. • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicle., • Provide invoices and receipts on a timely manner., • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, record of cargo, photos of cargo, in accordance with regulations, • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions., • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephone, text, or email., • The Driver/Hauler is required to pick up heavy items with the support handcarts, lift gates, and or help of another employee. • The Driver/Hauler must use required safety gear and methods as per their training of their supervisor. It is your responsibility to follow all safety training and follow the training to safely complete your job each day. • The maximum weight to lift without equipment or assistance from a co-worker is 50 lbs. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Possess a current and valid driver's license. REQUIRED, 2. Have a clean driving record, 3. Previous experience hauling illegal dumping is preferred., 4. Deadline and detail-oriented., 5. Ability to handle physical requirements (see below), 6. Ability to communicate effectively with the Supervisor and Management (in person, phone, text, and email)., 7. Comfortable using smart phones for pictures, text, email, and gps navigation., 8. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Spanish bilingual is a plus., 9. Be accountable and detail oriented., 10. Be able to work independently and follow instructions., 11. Highly motivated and have a positive attitude ., 12. Be able to work under pressure and under strict deadlines., 13. Great customer service. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs., • Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, and reaching forward. • Must be able to work outside in the elements. Los artículos pueden incluir muebles, llantas, electrodomésticos, paletas, material de jardinería y/u otros objetos., • Cargar y descargar mercancía de manera segura., • Eliminación de grafiti según lo aprobado por el Supervisor., • Completar las órdenes de trabajo de manera oportuna., • Mantener áreas de trabajo limpias y seguras., • Realizar otras tareas asignadas por el Supervisor., • Trabajar como conserje (Day Porter) cuando el Supervisor lo indique., • Obedecer las leyes de tránsito y seguir los procedimientos establecidos de transporte., • Transportar artículos programados por clientes externos que necesiten ser desechados, como sofás, llantas, refrigeradores, paletas y otros artículos domésticos y comerciales que serán llevados al vertedero por el Conductor/Transportista., • Inspeccionar y mantener los suministros y el equipo del vehículo, como aceite, agua, llantas, luces y frenos, y asegurar que el vehículo esté en condiciones seguras de operación., • Reportar cualquier problema mecánico del vehículo., • Proporcionar facturas y recibos de manera oportuna., • Mantener registros, como bitácoras del vehículo, registro de carga y fotos de la carga, de acuerdo con las regulaciones., • Leer mapas y seguir instrucciones geográficas escritas o verbales., • Reportar retrasos, accidentes u otras situaciones de tráfico y transporte mediante teléfono, mensajes de texto o correo electrónico., • El Conductor/Transportista debe levantar objetos pesados con el apoyo de carretillas, plataformas elevadoras o la ayuda de otro empleado., • El Conductor/Transportista debe usar el equipo de seguridad requerido y seguir los métodos según la capacitación recibida del supervisor. Es su responsabilidad cumplir con toda la capacitación de seguridad para completar su trabajo de forma segura cada día., • El peso máximo que se puede levantar sin equipo o asistencia de un compañero es de 50 libras. CALIFICACIONES • Poseer una licencia de conducir vigente y válida. REQUERIDO, • Tener un historial de manejo limpio., • Se prefiere experiencia previa en la recolección de desechos ilegales., • Orientado a cumplir plazos y prestar atención a los detalles., • Capacidad para cumplir con los requisitos físicos (ver abajo)., • Capacidad para comunicarse eficazmente con el Supervisor y la Gerencia (en persona, por teléfono, mensajes de texto y correo electrónico)., • Comodidad en el uso de teléfonos inteligentes para fotos, mensajes, correo electrónico y navegación GPS., • Debe poder hablar, leer y escribir en inglés. El bilingüismo en español es una ventaja., • Ser responsable y detallista., • Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente y seguir instrucciones., • Alta motivación y actitud positiva., • Capacidad para trabajar bajo presión y con plazos estrictos. • Debe poder levantar, empujar y jalar hasta 50 libras., • Estar de pie, caminar, empujar, mantener el equilibrio, agacharse, arrodillarse, ponerse en cuclillas, girar, alcanzar por encima de la cabeza y hacia adelante de manera constante.
