Job Description Role Summary The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, leading all aspects of financial strategy, planning, reporting, and capital structure for a national multifamily portfolio and complementary commercial/mixed-use assets. You will: • Own the financial roadmap that supports growth and stability., • Bring clarity, insight, and discipline to major decisions., • Be a visible, trusted leader with owners, investors, lenders, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute long-term strategy., • Translate vision into clear financial plans, forecasts, and performance metrics., • Lead annual budgeting, reforecasting, and multi-year financial planning., • Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs at both the property and enterprise level., • Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls., • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements., • Lead capital structure strategy, including debt, equity, and joint venture relationships., • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and capital partners; negotiate and structure financing., • Collaborate closely with operations, property management, construction, and asset management to drive NOI and asset performance., • Use data and analysis to support rent strategies, expense management, maintenance investments, and capital projects., • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance, accounting, and analytics team., • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement., • Communicate clearly and frequently with leaders across the company, making financial information understandable and useful. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance role (VP Finance, CFO, or similar)., • Strong background in multifamily real estate, property management, REITs, development, or closely related sectors is strongly preferred., • Proven success managing complex capital structures, lender relationships, and financing transactions., • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required., • CPA, MBA, or other advanced credentials strongly preferred.
